This is the first DornaWatra installation: the monument next to the Rathaus (City Hall) .
It looks very similar to the old Kriegerdenkmal in Czernowitz., which was destroyed by the Rumanians.
It is most surprising to see this Monument which was obviously built in the 1920s , in memory of Austrian soldiers , the enemies of Rumania !
The inscription in Rumanian says:
THE RUMANIAN HEROES WHO FELL DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914-1918.
This is weird,too.It could have been added only AFTER 1945 ( in the 20s no one new that about a second WW)
Anyway, it is very well preserved , surrounded by flowers and decorated with flags.
