The above reference, an article by Carl Ulrich, is a pretty complete
description of the two volume set. I don't have a count of the
number of images. There are probably 20+ pages with black/white
photos, multiple photos per page. Many notable individuals from
Bukowina are pictured in the books. The books are "oversized" -
approx. 10 inches wide x 13 inches tall (25 cm x 33 cm). Volume I
has 172 pages, volume II has >220 pages.
The set is a bit of a rarity, but can be found in a number of major
libraries. In Vancouver, it might be worth checking any major
judaica collections near you.
I have a list of 37 libraries in the US and Canada that have the
