[Cz-L] LOBEL Family

Hello all,

 

Just curious if anyone has heard of the LOBEL family from Czernowitz. Nathan
LOBEL was a kosher butcher. His grandson Morris moved to New York, where the
family still has a very high-end butcher shop on Madison Avenue. They'd
written a book, _Meat_ that mentions Nathan LOBEL starting the business in
Czernowitz, but there is very little on it. I have contacted the family, and
they are going to see what they have, but would probably appreciate any
anecdotes, leads, etc.
