My mother - Maria Josefine Gruenbaum - was only 10 years old as her
father - Maximilian GRUENBAUM - died.
He was a jurist and had studied in Vienna. Maximilian was married to my
grandmother Zaezilia. But he was not often at home in Vienna. He was a
manager of the business of a land-owner in Bukowina. Maximilian himself
was born in Czernowitz. In the few documents I found was filled in
"Wama, zustaendig nach Czernowitz, Bukowina" It means that he had
"Heimatrecht" in Czernowitz and had lived in Wama, I suppose. I do not
know yet how to find out more about my grandfather Maximilian, his
parents and eventually his siblings. Is there anyone who can give me a
hint where I can search for Israel and Raschel and their son Maximilian
and eventually siblings?
