The committee to organize the reunion has now decided on the following
schedule and timetable for the program of the reunion.
SCHEDULE (segments of the program presented each day):
Day 1 morning - A. Lecture about Czernowitz and Bukowina by one of
the following: Pro. Zvi Yaavetz Prof. Florence Heymann
Dr.Jean Ancel
afternoon - segment B. Presentation by the town organizations.
evening - entertainment by Lya Koenig
Day 2 morning - E. Discussions on the subject "What was Czernowitz
and in particular Jewish Czernowitz really like?"
afternoon - F. Discussion "Preservation of the heritage and the
spirit
of Czernowitz and Bukowina, our contribution to future
generations.
evening - Banquet
Day 3 morning - D. Presentations of family histories or diaries of
Bukowinians sent to Transnistria.
afternoon - J. Presentations and discussion "Czernowitz Jewish
Cemetery action plan"
evening - Final discussion and conclusion
Day 4 (optional) Q. Excursion to the Galilee to visit the northern border
and the bombarded towns, followed by tree planting an area given
for this purpose by the KKL and founding a "Bukowina Forest".
Also visits to the Museum for German Speaking Jewry,
the museum "Lohamei Hagetaot" and Teffen industries where we
would meet with Steff Wertheimer.
