Hello everybody,
For the past few months we have been enjoying the e-mails of the group. We
were sorry to have missed the reunion in Czernowitz. We plan our own visit
to Czernowitz shortly. We welcome any advice.
Our parents, Naomi Loeble and David Katz were born in Czernowitz in 1913 &
1912 respectfully. Naomi grew up in Universitaad strsse. We don't know much
about their childhood and family members who didn't survive the Holocaust,
since they left their past behind them.
They both arrived to Israel in 1932 as members of the youth movement Bnei
Akiva. We grew up in Bnei Brak & in Ramat Gan.
Our vote for all the questions is YES (we all live in Tel Aviv).

Subject: [Cz-L] Additional information about some of the proposals
Dear all,
I made a mistake in my previous message, I had received a message
from Emil Rennert in which he offered to present at the reunion a talk
about the Austrian Heritage Collection at the Leo Baeck Inst. and
particularly an attempt to establish a "Bukowina Heritage Collection"
at the above named institute.
I think that Emil's offer would fit well into proposals "F" and "G" of the
"Final list of proposals for the program of the reunion" I mailed to the
Cz.-List on Oct 26th.
I am reprinting the two proposals below:
F. Discussion on the subject "Preservation of the heritage and the spirit
of Czernowitz and Bukowina, our contribution to future generations.
G. Exploration "the possibility of organizing our collective artifacts
into a permanent Czernowitz and Bukowina museum exhibit"
I see both proposals as suggesting conversations and discussions, at which
we, the Czernowitzer and Bukowiner, can voice our interests, concerns and
wishes and hear from various museums and institutes proposals about what
their collections contain to date and what they could offer us in the
future, so as to provide the best facilities for storing, displaying and
making available for study the artifacts we own as well as documents and
information about the life and culture of Jewish Czernowitz and Bukowina.
Emil could tell us about the the leo Baeck Institute, representatives of
Beth Hatefutsoth and Yad Vashem could inform us about their institutions.
Please take this additional information into consideration
when you vote on the proposals.
Mimi
