Hi, Mr. Fleming,
Moldovitza (or Rusmoldovitsa, its Austrian era name) is in the Southern =
Bukovina (Romania) and not in the Ukraine. My late father and uncle =
Moses Landau, who were in the timber business, as wholesalers, used to =
go there quite often to check timber shipments they had ordered from the =
local sawmills and for placing new orders. I remember that very well. =
The place is located at about 50 km. west of Suceava, or some 25 km. =
north-west-west of Solca. It was a small place; timber logged from the =
nearby woods were brought to Moldovitsa and shipped by train to the =
southern parts of Romania and Bessarabia (nowadays Moldavia).
Regards, Abraham K.
