[Cz-L] Reading list

I'm going to Czernowitz in May with my girlfriend, who knows nothing about the
area. She asked me for recommendations for books to read to prepare for the
trip. I already pointed her toward the translation of Hugo Gold's book and
told her about "Ruth's Journey", but I'm having a hard time coming up with
other suggestions. I looked on the Czernowitz-L web site for ideas, but did
not see much in this specific area, and I thought that a list of books about
the North Bukovina region would be a good addition to the site. Can you please
help me create a "recommended Czernowitz reading list"? Please be sure to
indicate in what languages the books are written.
