Shalom Czernowitzers!
Yesterday, I receved this message fro Steve Lasky which may be of
interest to some of you that have roots in NYC and Czernowitz. I visited
his website and it is very well done and worth a visit on general.
I have already given Steve permisssion to 'snatch' photos and materails
from our site for his where appropriate (with attribution to the
original poster, of course).
If you have materials you want to contribute to Steve's projects you can
contact him directly through his website:

Hi Jerome,
As part of the Cemetery Project of my virtual
(Internet only) museum of Jewish family history, I
have created a web page listing all unique surnames
for six of the fourteen extant Czernowitz society
plots in New York and New Jersey. You can access this
page by going to my museum's Site Map Page, scrolling
down to the Cemetery Project, clicking on the link
where you can search by town, and then by clicking on
the Czernowitz link.
Of course, you have a great site. I would like to
create a Czernowitz page for my site but have no
material other than what I have mentioned. If you know
of anyone that would like to e-mail me any family
photos (pre-war from E. Europe) or more modern photos
from Czernowitz, that would be a nice thing. I
certainly understand that you like to have all the
material on your site, but I am hoping that you would
share some of the photos that you have. I would of
course give credit to whomever deserves it.
The URL to my virtual museum is
www.museumoffamilyhistory.com .
Thanks,
Steve Lasky
