[Cz-L] Please post in plain text

Dear Czernowitzers:

It's time for the annual reminder message about posting to the list,
especially since we have so many new list members. In fact, as of
today, we have 268 subscribers from all continents except Africa and
Antarctica. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)

I would like to remind you to send your posts as "Plain Text".
Complete instructions on how to set your email program to send
messages in Plain Text can be found here:

Many recent messages to the list have been sent in other coded
formats and require my time to edit before forwarding on to the list.

Also - it is not possible to distribute "attached files" via our
list. Images or other documents should be posted on a web site and
that address can be referenced in your email to the group. You can
also offer to distribute attached files directly to individual
members. Some attached files might be very useful to share with
others via our Cz-L web site, <http://czernowitz.ehpes.com>, and
these can be sent to webmeister Jerome <romers_at_shaw.ca> for his
consideration as to whether to post to the site.

Finally - some members have asked about receiving posts to the group
as a daily digest of messages, rather than receiving each message
individually. Yes, this is possible! Please follow these
instructions:

Send this command to <listproc_at_cornell.edu>:

set Czernowitz-L mail digest-nomime

Leave the subject line blank. Place the "Set" command above in the
body of the message and send it to the listproc address in "Plain
Text" mode.

Feel free to write to me if you have any questions about how this
list functions.
