     Dear Helene and Irene Silverblatt,
I am responding to your questions, concerning Selma Merbaum - =
Eisinger. We belonged in 1939 - 1940 to the same youthgroup of the =
Hashomer Hatzair movement and were good friends.
I left Cernowitz for Bucarest in may 1940 and came in 1941 to =
Israel, Since then I live in kibbutzim. Firth in a youth group in an =
older kibbutz and in 1944=20
I was among the founders of my kibbutz: Reshafim,
Together with Renee Abramovici - Michaeli, that died several years =
ago,I was involved in the publication's of Selma,s poems. I am pleased =
to know that there ia second edition by Hoffman and Campe.
Especially I initiated and was involved in the hebrew publication =
of the poems. They were published in 1983, by Sifriat Hapoalim, the =
publishing house of the Kibbbutz movement founded by Hashomer Hatzair,
The poems were translated by different poets,
There was also a radio program, dealing with Selma's poems,
Could you please send me more information about the celebration of =
Selma's life and creation in musical theatre and musical performance, Is =
it possible to get discs of some of these performances?
I am professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Haifa. My =
home address is: Kibbutz Reshafim P.O. Beit Shean Israel 10905. THe =
