Dear Czernovitzers,

I have been following your site for quite some time. It began when I needed
help in finding an address in Chernovitz for someone I thought might be
related. We didn't find the connection but I had since found out that a
large part of my Leikehmacher family, originally from Zhitomir, settled in
Chernovitz after WWII. I was therefore fascinated with the photos that were
sent to the group from your trip.

I am now looking for information about Abraham Edvany/Yedvabny for his
greatgranddaughter who has difficulty in writing English.

Abraham Edvabni /Yedvabni, born in 1904, was the son of Shimon-Ber. He
married Nina Leikehmacher in Zhitomir and lived in Zhitomir until WWII where
they had 3 daughters. They settled in Chernovitz after the war. Both are
buried in Czernovitz.

Abraham came from a large family. He had about 9 sisters and brothers. If
anyone knows about the Edvabni / Yedvabni family, please contact me
privately.

Warm Regards,

Hannah Engelstad
