Dear Mimi,
Thank you very much for your detailed and interesting autobiography.

I was really moved when you included me amongst the rediscovered old
friends. In autumn of 1947, when you left "our" building in Oradea, I was
only 1 and half years old! It is Ilya, my big brother (then 7 years old) who
refers to you as "my good old friend" and was truly excited to meet you and
Milton in Jerusalem, after more than 50 years.
More important, I realize now, was the friendship between our parents during
this first year of "repatriation".
I can imagine how lonely and strange they felt far from home, far from
family and friends, in that Hungarian- speaking community.
Czernowitzer Schicksale- Jewish fate...

We'll meet again, like last December, at the "Mini-Reunion". I'm sure.

Best regards,
Irene Fishler (Ehrenkranz), Haifa
