Dear Miriam,

I am very glad of your offer to be on the organizing committee for the
proposed Czernowitzers' meeting in Israel. As far as the date of the
meeting; I realize that those of us who still work, may find it easier to
take time to come to the meeting, later in December, but against this we
need to consider the fact, that airfare and hotel prices go up in the middle
of December.

I think the set of questions about a possible Czernowitzers' meeting in
Israel, I sent out yesterday, needs revision and I would welcome suggestions
from anyone interested. It would be best if all suggestions were sent to the
Cz-L by July 21. My own revision is:

If you are interested in a "Czernowitzers" meeting which would take place
    in Israel in the winter of 2006 please answer the following questions on
    or before Aug. 21st and send them to the Cz-L.

1. Would you prefer the starting date for the meeting to be:
    a) Dec. 3

2. Would you like the meeting to last:
    a) 3 days
    b) a shorter time, how long?
    c) a longer time, how long?
3. Please suggest activities for inclusion in the program.
4. Where in Israel would you like the meeting to be held?

5. How inclusive, or exclusive would you like this meeting to be?
    a) Shall journalists and photographers be admitted?
    b) Shall admittance be limited to Jewish Czernowitzers, their
       descendants and family members?
