I believe your answer and this reply should be

I have no problem at all with the fact that an
<Israeli-Bukowiner meeting> be organised in a way or
another. I’m neither opposing nor voting against: I
just said that in such a case, I wouldn’t participate.
For the rest, please do not misinterpret: I didn’t use
a scientific approach in my mail: I just <called a cat
a cat>, as we say in French.
