[Cz-L] Date of meeting, other questions

Dear Czernowitzers,

Going through all the messages I received in regard to the date of the
meeting in Israel, it seems that few people have a definite preference,
but most of those who do, want the meeting to be in March, before Passover.

Passover of 2007 is from April 3rd to April 10th.

I suggest that the meeting be held from Monday, March 26th 2007,
till and including Thursday, March 29th.

Holding the meeting at this time, will allow those who are coming from
abroad to stay in Israel for the Seder if they wish to, or return home
in time to prepare their own Seder.

Next, I think we need to decide on a suitable location
and a name for the meeting.

Our considerations should be:

1. That we meet in that part of the country in which the majority
   of the Israeli Czernowitzers and Bukowinians live.
2. That we find a hotel which will provide pleasant accommodations
   and rent us a conference room at reasonable rates.
3. Yad va-Shem may put on a special exhibit for us, but I think that
   this does not necessarily mean that we should hold our meeting in
   Jerusalem.

Please, everyone who expects to participate, choose one of the following
areas:

A. Haifa
B. Tel-Aviv
C. Jerusalem

If you have a particular hotel in mind, contact them, obtain information
about their conference facilities, room rates and cost and ability to
prepare at least one joint festive meal using Czernowitz recipes.
Ideally they should also be willing and able to provide us with an
exhibition area for the duration of the meeting.
I assume that the number of participants will be between 60 and 100,
with the number of people actually staying at the hotel, much smaller.

Please also think of a name for this meeting and send us your suggestions.
The only name I came up with is "Czernowitzer Reunion 2007".
Not very imaginative, so I hope someone has a better idea.
