[Cz-L] Introduction

Hello!

L'shannah tovah. I would like to introduce myself.
I'm new to this list.

My Great-Grandmother, Bertha Scherer, was born in (or around)Czernowitz
and came to New York with her mother sometime around 1902. Her father,
Charles Scherer, and siblings came separately.

I have information on Charles Scherer and his wife, Mary Reich as well
as
some informaiton on my great-grandmothers siblings and their
descendants.
But I don't know anything about the family that pre-dates their coming
to
America. I'm hoping to find out more.

My grandmother is particularly interested in her grandfather, Charles.
She
won't really tell me why.

Anyway, it's nice to "meet" you all!
