Dear Czernowitzers,

I have received some more proposals and since they were sent to me
rather than the whole list, I will detail them here.

David Weiner suggests that:

1. We invite: Prof. Zvi Yavetz world known historian born in Czernowitz
and Prof.Har Segov historian born in Romania, or Dr.Jean Ancel
historian, specialist in the history of Holocaust

2. For the purpose that the participant get to know each other; let all who
intend to participate, both from Israel and abroad, send the list a short
note about themselves including: name, year of birth, background, etc.

David also suggests that if one of the diaries from Yad Vashem were to be
presented, some information about this diary should be made public ahead of
time, in order to prevent it coming as a surprise and shock to people
closely connected to the writer of the diary.

A number of people have suggested that we involve the "Organization of
Bukovina Jews" in our discussions and decisions about the focus and program
for the meeting.
Many are also concerned that the meeting be open to all Bukowinians and
Czernowitzers, regardless of whether they belong to the Cz.-List, or not.

I will inform the WOBJ of our decisions so far and ask for their suggestions
and advice, but I think the decisions about the focus and program of the
meeting should be decided on by vote within this list.

I too think that the meeting should be advertised in the Stimme and open to
all Bukowinians and Czernowitzers.

Please, as soon as possible, send your responses to these suggestions,
comments and more suggestions to the WHOLE Cz.-List, so we can have an open
and broad discussion.

Mimi
