BMD - Birth, marriage death
LDS - Latter Day Saints (i.e., the Mormon Church)
RTR - Routes to Roots foundation of Miriam Weiner
ZAGS - ZAGS Provincial Archives (from Russian meaning "Recording of Acts of Civil Position"). These are civil archives in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other Russian speaking countries.

 Dear Mark,
I have just found out what BMD means and now you come up with some new abbreviation "LDS, ZAGS and RTR". If we are going to use abbreviations, could we at least explain once in the e-mail what those abbreviation are.
It is confusing, if you are not familiar.
