[Cz-L] Children's Book about Transnistria now on Ehpes

Czernowitzers...

It has been my pleasure working with list member Susanna Raweh over
the past month or so to publish her 'Small Book' (Granny Girl as a
Child) to our Ehpes website. Susanna's daughter Dafna Shonwald (also a
list member) did the superb illustrations. Is it possible to write a
children's book about surviving Holocaust in Transnistria? Susanna
and Dafna have accomplished this and more!

My part was simply to scan the book and produce the corresponding
English pages under her direction and then prepare it for posting on
the web.

Of the book, Susanna says:

"This small book was intended for my grand children got a life of its
own. It became the subject of my lectures in the schools of Turin for
children from 9-18 years old.

As it was published in Italian on the site of the Institute of
research of contemporary history and the resistance;
http://www.istoreto.it I was also invited to Rome last year and an
elementary school did a big project out of it..

This year I will continue my work - it is the fourth year- and
together with an historian from the above mentioned institute we will
prepare a group of teachers in the teaching of the Shoah in schools."
