[Cz-L] Re: czernowitz-l digest: August 20, 2008

Beloved Czernowitzers:
The notice from the city about 20 students cleaning the cemetery warmed my =
heart and partially removed the chip on my shoulder regarding Ukraine's refu=
sal to return confiscated property. 
I might reconsider and visit Cz before I die or before Putin starts droppin=
g nuclear bombs on the Ukraine. Those of us still able might volunteer to ge=
t into the trenches to throw Molotov Cocktails at Russian tanks if and when =
they roll into Bucovina as they did into Georgia.
But more immediate, the maintenance of the cemetery is an ongoing issue and=
 we might consider setting up a fund for this.  If each of us who has ance=
stors buried there - probably about 300 of us at least - contributed $10-$35=
 per annum it might suffice to hire a permanent caretaker for the job.
