Hi Sami:

Records for Vatra Dornei (1850s through 1877 or so) are held at the
State Archives in Suceava. Further records are at the local town
hall. Unfortunately, they have not been microfilmed by the LDS
Family History Libraries. However, records for Czernowitz ARE
available from the Family History Libraries. More details on these
two sources, as well as others, can be found at:

http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/sadgura/ReischToronto.html

On our group web site <czernowitz.ehpes.com> you'll find a
description of the ongoing project to index the Czernowitz Jewish
Cemetery. Some of these records, with tombstone photos, have already
been posted to the JewishGen Online Worldwide Burial Registry. To
search these records, start here:

http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/cemetery/

and narrow your search to Ukraine/Bucovina.

Check the FAQ at www.jewishgen.org for tips on how to get started in
genealogical research.

Wishing you the best of luck,

Bruce
