Re: [Cz-L] Museum meetings

My purpose of my meeting with Josef Zissels was to ask his help in
1. having a plaque placed in Chernivtsi commemorating the actions
   of Traian Popovici.
2. making arrangements for a group of volunteers to come and clear
   the cemetery of weeds, this summer.
I met with Josef Zissels, not as a delegate of our group
and not in order to discuss the museum. But he wanted to talk
about the museum and so we did. It is my impression that he is
sincere in his promis to include the period of the holocaust in
the opening exhibition of the museum. When I told him about
Radu Ioanid's book "Holocaustul in Rumania" he got one of his friends
to buy him a copy of the English translation.
When I offered to introduce him to Radu Ioanid at the holocaust museum,
he was willing to go with me to the museum.

It is my opinion, that we should supply the museum with whatever
documents, photographs and actual original materials we have.

Josef Zissels will be in Israel in the very near future, he will meet
with people from "Hitachdut Olei Bucovina", the "younger generation"
and hopefully also with Florence Heymann.
