A while ago I posted a letter to the group asking for someone to create a
simple menu of Jewish foods that represent Czernowitz and/or Bukowina.
Nobody ever responded.
I am asking once again.

Within my virtual museum, I have two virtual restaurants (really), one for
lunch/desserts, and the other a dinner restaurant (they are both Kosher, of
Not all the entries in my current menus are typically Jewish, but I bet your
mouth might water nevertheless after reading them.

The lunch menu can be found at
The dessert menu can be found at
The dinner menu can be found at

I would like to also offer regional menus (for lunch and/or dinner), so I
thought who better to ask than my friends on the Czernowitz-L list, who are
so knowledgeable and have such memories of Czernowitz/Bukowina cuisine?
The Czernowitz/Bukovina menu should include between one and three main
courses, soup, salad, dessert, wine or other beverage, etc. Please, if
possible, include a short description that I can include with each item
(twenty words or less.) Thank you!

I'm getting hungry already...guess I'll have to have an early lunch!
