          Zwock comes from Ukrainean "Tsvyak " for nail.
         Twyak comes from the German "Zwecke" - old German for brad ,
headless nail.
          As the use is in East European Yiddish -we must have taken it from
the Ukraineans.
            But the root is German , after all.
