Greetings,
Just to let you know that now on my Itzik Manger page, I have two of his poems which he recites. Now you have four ways to appreciate both of these works, i.e. hearing him recite it, reading the English translation, as well as both the Yiddish text (in Hebrew letters) and transliterated Yiddish. The three written forms are now all displayed side by side which makes for the possibility for an interesting Yiddish lesson.
For me, this is a special way to appreciate Yiddish and the creative Jewish mind. For those who are interested but can't read Yiddish, you can appreciate the sounds of Yiddish and also actually know what the words mean. By actually knowing what is being said, the words (and recitation) will mean that much more. For those who understand Yiddish, or who like to read Yiddish poetry in an non-transliterated fashion, it should be a pleasure.
