Dear Robert,
One sentence in your e-message caught my attention by showing the narrow
separation line between the figurative and the real: you wrote "in time
the hospital will disappear..."; when we visited Czernowitz in 1997, I found
that most of the rear part of the hospital, including the site, had actually
disappeared in a mudslide. So only something much smaller can be built on
the site where the venerable Juedisches Spital once stood.
