Earthquakes, Mudslides and other natural causes:
When I first saw the rubble that was once a hospital I asked the List
Webmaster ,a local man ,how this came to be and his answer was short but
meaningful:
"Time and neglect".
My conclusion is as follows :
As the hospital was made up one storey buildings earthquake is not likely
as other higher buildings in town show no damage.
What is more likely is that the place was taken apart by scavengers.
First went the doors and windows then the roofs and the bricks.
All useful material - it was a pity to leave it in the wind and rain.
Better take it home for some future use.
Such practical people the Czernowitzers !
