[Cz-L] A survivor's memoir

Many of you know about the book by our fellow list member, Ruth
Glasberg Gold, who recently appeared at a special ceremony at the
United Nations. But some of you may not.

So, here are the details.

Ruth's Journey, A Survivor's Memoir. 1996. by Ruth Glasberg Gold.
University Press of Florida. The English edition is out of print,
but can still be found on Amazon.com

and at additional used booksellers. Check your libraries too;
interlibrary loan is also a possibility.

The book has been translated into Spanish and was published last
October by Editorial Font, Monterrey, Mexico. It is titled "Lagrimas
Secas. " It can be ordered directly from Editorial Font, Monterrey,
or from Ruth at <glasgold_at_bellsouth.net>.

The Romanian title is: "Timpul Lacrimilor Secate," Editura Hasefer,
Bucharest, Romania

The Hebrew version is unfortunately out of print.

This is a well-written, meaningful, and insightful account of life in
Czernowitz, survival in Transnistria, and life in Israel after the
holocaust. I highly recommend Ruth's book.
