[Cz-L] Director of Romanian National Archives to attend Jewish Genealogy conference in Philadelphia

Dear Friends:

Dr. Dorin Dobrincu, the new Director-General of the Romanian National
Archives will be attending this summer's conference on Jewish
Genealogy, and speaking on the subject of Jewish holdings in the
Romanian archives. The details have yet to be arranged. This is the
first time that a head of the Romanian National archives has
expressed willingness to attend a meeting of Jewish genealogists.

Also on the program at the 29th International Association of Jewish
Genealogical Societies International Conference on Jewish Genealogy,
will be the distinguished French priest, author, and humanitarian,
Father Patrick Desbois, who will be the keynote speaker at the
opening session in Philadelphia, Sunday, August 2, 2009. His speech
will be, "The Holocaust by Bullets: A Priest's Journey to Uncover the
Truth Behind the Murder of 1.5 million Jews," which is also the title
of his book. Father Dubois has spent years searching for an
uncovering mass graves in the Ukraine.
