Re: [Cz-L] the best Cz school photo ever? And....

Hi All,

Here's the info that my mother gave me about the school picture.

Unfortunately she doesn't remember the name of the school or the year but
here's some details that may help to decipher Arthur's questions. My
mother's cousin gave her the picture. He lived in the suburbs of Czernowitz.
She said he was the same age as her; she is now 85. It's pre high school
which was before 4th grade. His family name was Feuer or Feur. We're trying
to jar her memory to remember his first name.

I have many more school pictures that we have good details about and am in
the process of scanning them--episode 2.

I've always asked my mother how she got possession of all these pictures.
Many of them are hers, but sooooo many were given to her by her friends of
their families and themselves. It's almost like they knew she would be the
person to preserve history. She told me that she has saved every picture
that was ever given to her. I wonder if she realizes the implications. Many
in the pictures perished, but Mom felt her box of pictures was the most
important thing she owned and thus carted them around from place to place--
Czernowitz to Poland, Poland to Israel, Israel to the United States and many
places in between.
