Mimi,

Yasker Koach! What a wonderful event. International in scope, as has been pointed out. I couldn't help but think as I read the coverage about what is so special to me about our city of Czernowitz. Never having lived there, I do not recall it as home. Instead I recall through what my mother told me, and what I have read of it, the multicultural aspects of it's population. And indeed, this week, that multicultural atmospherre returned with the unveiling of the plaque to Dr. Popovici. It is a wonderful tribute to him, to the Jewish heritage of Czernowitz, and to your insight and tenacity Mimi.
