Dear Mr. Fleming,

I investgated the question of stone inscriptions in Chernivtsi. Here are
the results.
1. It is possible to order stone inscriptions for the people who would
like to commemorate themselves in this way. The price for one stone is
UAH 300, this is approximately 50 USD. Payment can be made through
international bank transfers, details can be discussed later.
2. As to collective stone for all members of the list - it seems
problematic as the stone can include only 3 words (because of lack of
space). Though it is up to you and members of the list to decide the
text of the inscription.
3. The procedure is as follows: you fill in the form available in the
municipal enterprise "MiskSHEP" responsible for this issue, pay the
money on the bank account of the enterprise and it produces the pavement.
4. Nowadays the enterprise is looking for the new technologies of
inscription as the available ones seem not to satisfy its needs. So the
process of producing stones is delayed for a while. In the nearest
future it will start over again.
