Dear Mimi,
During the last months I follow your activities as reflected in the
e-mails to the list, and I think these are really great things you
are doing.
On the other hand, most of these activities are "looking back" at the
past. As much as remembering and restoring past heritage is
important, let us not forget that there are still many survivors of
the Holocaust, our "Landsmaschaft", who need help (at least in
Israel, but I'm sure anywhere else too). As long as these people are
alive, I think helping them, health wise, financially and socially,
must be prior to restoring a cemetery.
I suggest using up the same advice, skills and efforts of "experts"
you've just invited to volunteer - to set up an organization for aid
to living people.
