When we returned to Cernowitz (from Mogilev), we lived in my grandfather's
house. The fence of the graveyard was our fence as well. Visiting Cernowitz
in 2006 there was nothing left.

As you may know ,the current jewish cemetery is the new one - less than
2 centuries old .
Before that there was the old Zwintar on the Grabengasse.(now Odesska ).
The gravestones discovered on the steps of the Turkish street during
renovation, said some bloggers ,are from there.

Does somebody know what happened to this cemetery?
