[Cz-L] The "Residenz", Metropolitan Hakman and chief Rabbi Igel.

I did some research and found the following:

The "Residenz" (residence of the Metropolitan of the Orthodox church) was
built on the initiative of metropolitan Yefgen Hakman and the architect
responsible for both the design and the construction was Josef Glavka.
The building was finished in 1882.

Josef Glavka also designed and supervised the building of
the Armenian-Catholic Church, renown for its very good acoustics.

The "Tempel" was designed by Lviv architect Julian Zakharevych and the
initiative for its construction came from chief rabbi Lazar Elias Igel.
According to my information the foundation for the building was laid
on May 8th, 1873 and both the chief rabbi and the Orthodox church hierarchy
too part in the ceremony. The building was completed 1877.
The dominant feature of the exterior of the "Tempel" was a copper dome
with a spire crowned with the six pointed star of David.

It is therefore likely that both architect Glavka and metropolitan Hakman
were fully aware of the significance of the star of David and that the use
of this design element in the buildings of the residence was not accidental.
