Hi, Marcel,
Of course I remember. His name is Tury (Arnold) Horowitz and he lived on
the Heiliger Kreuzplatz (Corner Hauptstrasse and Schulgasse. Tury started
to paint posters with the two of us towards the end of the Nazi-Romanian
occupation (end of 1943 -1944). When the Soviets returned he painted the
Russian (not really Ukrainian) posters for the former Cinema Apollo. I
visited him in Caracas several times, met his wife and the two daughters. I
hope he is still OK, he is Professor Emeritus of the Caracas University
(Simon Bolivar Univ ?) , where is was Professor for Education Sciences.
Several years ago, I spoke with Nutty and he told me that Tury Horowitz was
very sick and slowly slowly becoming blind. His wife, who was not Jewish,
was also a Professor at the University and passed away several years ago. Am
unable to communicate with him by e-mail because there is apparently nobody
to respond.

Hello Abraham

Maybe you recall the name of Nutty's friend who also painted posters.I don't
know for what cinema
He lived in the high rise building corner to Hauptstrasse, Schulgasse and
Judengasse. They both wound up in Italy studding I believe it was Torino

Nutty emigrated to the states and his friend to South America.

Chau Marcel
