Hi all! In this instance the German is very appropriate....it is a
reminder and a warning..they are trying to say "Be warned...never again". I
just hope the message gets through. Cornel

  Inauguration of the Memorial.
   In German memorial is Denkmal.
    But the Holocaust Memorial they call Mahnmal.
    From the German " mahnen". Thas is : urge , warn, remind, admonish.
     This is what this memorial is meant for.
      Nothing like German.
