Regarding the photographs of the cemetery, Christian sent to Bruce and which
Bruce made accessible to us:
First and foremost, thanks to both Christian and Bruce.
I have two remarks I would like to make: The photograph captioned:
"Holocaust Memorial - Czernowitz Jewish Cemetery", is actually not
a Holocaust memorial, but just an assemblage of broken gravestones
put together by Yuri Prestupenko when he was the director of the cemetery
administration. The photograph which shows a paved path through the
cemetery, is of the central path leading from the main gate on Zelena street
up the hill in the NW direction.
