Infanterie usoara means light infantry (not cavalry).
It was what we call today " commandos".

It is infanterie usoara meaning light cavalerie - presumably the name and
description of the regiment.
I think some of the pictures are from Roman (some 200 Km to the south in
Moldova). Will check with
relatives who might know somebody.
