Two possible sources of information:

http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/decorat.htm

Has pictures of medals and some bibliography, which says it includes a list
of medal holders perhaps some library in Israel has copies of the books
referred to.

www.jewishgen.org/hungary/Austro-Hungarian_Medal_Winners_rev20060316.doc

These folks did research on a list of medals from the 1866 Prussian
conflict; perhaps they have more info which could be helpful.

Subject: [Cz-L] World War I

Dear Cornel and other "military and World-War I experts",

Can you tell me where I can find and search a data-base of k.u.k. Austrian
Czernowitzer soldiers who received medals during World War I?
My father wrote that his brother received the "Goldene" - and the "Grosse
Silberne Tapferkeitsmedaille".

Is it possible to check this information?
Best regards
Irene, Haifa
