Hardy,

I cannot definitely tell you which areas have been cleared.
And I do not know how you can tell by looking at the photographs.
Looking at the photographs, I received from Josif Bursuk, Edgar Hauster and
Julia Myasyshcheva of the cleared areas, I occasionally recognize an area
and occasionally when there is a gravestone with a clear inscription
visible, I ask Bruce Reisch to find in which area the particular gravestone
is located. He always answers me to the best of his knowledge, but we DO NOT
KNOW the exact correspondence of Parzellen to areas, and therefore cannot be
sure we have located the correct area.

When Edgar Hauster visited Czernowitz about a month ago, he walked around
the cleared areas holding his GPS, then transferred the data to Google earth
maps, satellite map of the cemetery and sent me the findings. But this was a
month ago and in the meantime, the workers cleared more of the cemetery.

I will be in Czernowitz in about two weeks from now. I will measure the area
cleared to the best of my ability. But I am not a surveyor, nor can I find
one in Chernivtsi. I looked.
