The David Falik case.
( as told by Florence Heymann in "Le crepuscule des lieux" pg.235-236)
1. In June 1926 the students of Aron-Pumnul Gymnasium , mostly Jewish,
organized a demonstration against the xenophobic teachers who let - 92 from
a total of 96- students fail at the baccalaureate exams. David Falik was
among the protesters. He somehow harassed one of the worst anti-Semitic
teachers , Diaconescu.
2. About ten Jewish students were arrested .The press started an
anti-Semitic campaign.
3. November, 10th, 1926 - the day of the trial, a Rumanian student from
Yassy , Nicolae Tatu , shot at David Falik with a revolver. D. Falik died
of his wounds 2 days later in the Jewish hospital.
4. 25,000 people took part at the funerals. The Jews shut all their
businesses in town.
5. In 1927 at Tatu's trial ,Cuza himself helped the defenders . Tatu
was acquitted .

Thank you Gabriele and all others who answered me.
I need the information for signboards at the cemetery.
I found the gravestone of Edi Wagner, in good shape and in the area which
was cleared .
I urgently need information about David Falik.
Also whether the mass grave in the cemetery containt the bodies of people
shot individually or executed as a large group.
Please all, do not sent me sites where I can get the information, just the
information.
