I do not know whether any of the photographs I took are of that area. I will
know in a few days, after Bruce checks some of the names on the photographed
gravestones against the photographs taken by the Ottawa group.
I know definitely that Dawid Fallik is buried in area #137 and therefore
doubt that this area was reserved for suicides or others who should not be
buried in sacred ground.

The cemetery was originally much smaller than it is now. I believe that the
original size of the cemetery was 7.365 hectares.
At various times the Jewish community was granted additional land in order
to enlarge the cemetery. Some times the land was granted only a few years
after it was requested and those who died during the time between request
and granting of additional land, had to be buried at the edges of the
cemetery.
As far as I remember additional land was either requested in 1936 or granted
in 1936.
