I do not think that the workers cleared more than one hectare.
Since apparently my measurements (with a tape measure, on the ground) are
not correct, I have to rely on the two maps of the cemetery which are
currently available. One map is the Google Satellite map, the other is the
official cemetery map put out by the cemetery administration. This official
map has no indication of scale. The satellite map does have a scale, but we
must remember that this is an aerial view which does not take into
consideration that sloping ground seen from above, appears smaller than it
is when measured on the ground. (Think of a right angle triangle lying on
its diagonal).
Despite the inaccuracy possibly inherit in the satellite map, I am using it
to calculate the area cleared by the hired workers. The width of the area
cleared, including the paths on both sides, I take to be 52 meter.
The length, not including areas 33, 125 and 126, I take to be 160 meter.
In this case the area cleared has a size of 8320 square meter.
If they did clear areas 125 and 126, then the length is 162,5 meter and the
area is 8450 square meter. If in addition they cleared about half of area
#33, then the length is 190,7meter and the total area is 9916 square meter.

I cannot be sure which of these numbers is correct and I do not think we
should continue to speculate.
If we continue with this manner of clearing the cemetery, and I think we
should, we need to measure and define the area to be cleared very precisely.
