Hello CZers,
As many of you know, a few years ago I published my photo-journalistic
book THE FORGOTTEN FEW. It depicts my trips and mission to help the elderly
survivors who still live in Mogelov. I took a picture of each person I
interviewed and added one quote from each person next to the picture. With
regard to mass graves, on page 20 you will see a picture of Ephram Masavitch
and his quote: "They dug a pit and buried people alive. For three days the
soil trembled." So there you have first-hand information. (By the way,
when I have made presentations regarding my book in Holocaust classes, it is
this one quote that shocks the audience more than any other.) Shalom, Cora
