Czernowitzers... Some correspondence below from Debbie Lampert. If you
can help her please contact her directly as I don't think she is a
list member. If you do come up with something, could you copy me as
well?

Debbie... I have come up empty on this one. There is a Stanowitz in
the Czech Republic and several likely ones (somewhat different
spelling) in Poland. None however near Czernowitz or in what used to
be northern Bukovina that I could find.

So, I am forwarding this correspondence to our group of
350+ researchers to see if they have any ideas.
