[Cz-L] Re: Hochstadt Memories

For the list - I have already written to Pamela privately with a lot
more details.

Pamela, you and I are third cousins. My great-grandmother, Malka
[Mollie] HOCHSTAEDT, was a younger sister to Gershon and Beila Ruchel
[Bella Rose] HOCHSTAEDT. My great-grandmother married her cousin,
Chaim Anchel RUBINGER and Beila married Nute [Nathan] PACHT.
Separately, Beila & Malka emigrated to New York, where they had grown
children with large families and lived and died there.

Gershon's first wife was Chana D'vora GRILL - I never saw her name
referred to as Dora although it makes sense since other
family members went by Dora. Sophie's maiden name was GRILL also. I
do not know if the two wives were sisters or cousins to each other.
Gershon's parents were Anchel HOCHSTAEDT and Czarna Leah WALLACH.
His first two children were born in northern Bukovina - Putila - but
his children with Sophie were born in Dorna Candreini - about 60
miles south.

Anchel HOCHSTAEDT's parents were Gershon HOCHSTAEDT & Sarah UNKNOWN.

Sophie GRILL's parents were Kasriel GRILL and possibly Broche UNKNOWN
although with your information I could consider Broche an aunt to
Anchel & Lena and another sister to Sophie, Paulie [and maybe Charna
Leah as well].

Pleased to verify our relationship.

Does anyone remember Gershon and Dora Hochstadt.....they had Lena and
Anshel and later after the death of Dora, Gershon Hochstadt my great,
great grandfather married Sophia and they gave birth to my
grandfather Julius.... here is what I know:

WHERE THEY CAME FROM: ROMANIA and AUSTRIA
   My father parents Dora & Gershon Hochstadt
   Dora & Gershon Hochstadt original children: Anchel and Lena...
