Dear Czernowitzers,

As I have written you before, Wolfgang Schaechter, Sasha Wolloch and I,
have set up a corporation named "Czernowitz Jewish Cemetery Restoration
Organization" or CJCRO, the sole purpose of which is to restore the Jewish
cemetery located on Zelena str. in Chernivtsi Ukraine.
The organization is incorporated in the state of Florida. Its officers are:
Miriam Taylor president,
 Alexandre (Sasha )Wolloch treasurer and
Wolfgang (Wolfi) Schaechter secretary.

We are still working on the By-Laws of the organization and have as yet not
applied for non-profit status. The By-Laws will be ready in about a week.
For the non-profit status we will apply as soon as our membership is large
enough and we have the necessary funds to pay for the application.

For the year 2009, there are only 2 - 3 month left during which we can
reasonably expect the work of cutting sapling trees and vines to be
accomplished. No work will be done until we send Dr. Bursuk the money
necessary to pay the workers. I therefore ask all of you who are willing to
contribute money to this project, to send your contributions as follows:

1) Contributions over $500, in any currency, by wire transfer to the bank
   account of CJCRO at:
   J P Morgan Chase Bank, branch 000831,

   The SWIFT number of the account is: 074000010
   and the account number is: 833738792.

   If you do wire transfer your contribution directly to the bank account,
   please also Email me the date and amount of your contribution.

2) Contributions of $500 and less in US Dollars, by personal check - to me:

   I will acknowledge the receipt of your contribution and you will get a
   second acknowledgement from Wolfi Schaechter.

At this point, we can as yet not accept contributions in other than US
Dollar currencies. As soon (probably in one week to 10 days) as we have
made definite arrangements for the collection of contributions in Canadian
Dollars, Israeli Shekel and Euro, I will let you know to whom to send
contributions in these currencies.

Please, I appeal to all of you, send your contributions as soon as possible
and ask the Czernowitzers among your relatives and friends to do the same.
