Dear Czernowitzers,

As of today, Sept 27, 2009, contributions to the Czernowitz Jewish
Cemetery Restoration Organization,
amount to the sum of $1229. I am very grateful to all those who have
contributed.
As I have written you before, we need $2000 to clear each hectare of
the cemetery and I had hoped
that we may still clear two hectares this fall. In October and
November the work can be continued,
by December it will be too cold and snowy. We also would like to
apply for non profit status in the US,
which will cost about $500. The non profit status is necessary, not
just for saving donors money,
but for applying for funds to appropriate charitable organizations.

Please, all of you, interested in having the cemetery cleared of the
jungle-like vegetation,
send your contributions as soon as possible, in one of the following ways:

1) Contributions for $500 and over, in any currency, by wire transfer
to the bank
    account of CJCRO at:
    J P Morgan Chase Bank, branch 000831,
    located at :

    2642 E3rd street
    Bloomington IN 47401-4208

The SWIFT number of the account is: 074000010
and the account number is: 833738792.

If you do wire transfer your contribution directly to the bank account,
please also Email me the date and amount of your contribution.
I will acknowledge the receipt of your contributions as soon as
they have been credited to the account.

2) Contributions of less than $500 in US Dollars, by personal check made out to
"Czernowitz Jewish Cemetery Restoration Organization" and sent to
me to me at:
    Miriam Taylor
    3712 Brownridge Rd.
    Bloomington, IN 47401

Please make sure to make your check out to: "Czernowitz Jewish
cemetery Restoration Organization".
I will acknowledge the receipt of your contribution and a second
acknowledgement
will be sent to you by Wolfi Schaechter.

3) Contributions from Canada should be in US Dollars and made out by a bank
which has branches in the US. Otherwise, I have to pay $45 for
the transfer of funds.

4) Contributions from Israel: Please send personal checks made out to
Dov Glaubach (Berti) to:

    Berthold Dov Glaubach
    Zivanit 6/2
    Haifa 34481
    Israel

Berti will acknowledge the receipt of each check by Email to the sender.
He will combine the checks, into one sum, which he will wire
transfer to the bank.
Berti will also inform Wolfi (Wolfgang Schaechter) of each contribution
and each contributor will get a second acknowledgement from Wolfi.

At this point, we can as yet not accept contributions in Euro and
before we make
special arrangements, which will allow us to do so, all who want to
contribute less than $500,
please write me and I will have to choose the best, most convenient
and least expensive way,
for transferring your contribution.

"G'mar Hatima tova to all of you",

Mimi
